THATCamp DC 2015: Saturday April 18!
[via Prof. Diane H. Cline, GW Department of History]
THATCamp DC 2015 is coming to GWU on Saturday April 18th, and you won’t want to miss it. See who else is coming by visiting the event website’s list of campers!
At this THATCamp there will be a planning meeting for GW DH’ers to develop a prioritized list of needs to request when opportunity strikes, plus sessions on digital publishing, pedagogy, getting started, and more. The format is like a conference, but collectively we fill in the grid of topics, rooms, and times in the first session. A mix of academics, archivists, librarians, and digital infrastructure folks are coming from all over the DC area. Please join us for breakfast at 9:00; the program begins at 9:30. It ends around 3:30. Come with an idea for a conversation you want to host, or propose one on the spot. It’s fun, productive, and will inspire you for your summer research.
This un-conference is organized by the GWU students in HIST 3001 (Digital Humanities and the Historian); more information about the schedule, structure, and agenda are on the event website.
