AltAc/PostAc: Rethinking the PhD Job Search in the Humanities
On February 20, the GW English Department hosted an interdisciplinary roundtable entitled #AltAc/#PostAc: Rethinking the PhD Job Search in the Humanities. This event was organized by Prof. Holly Dugan (English) and co-sponsored by the GW Medieval and Early Modern Studies Institute and the Office of the Graduate Dean of GW Columbian College of Arts & Sciences.
This event featured PhD’s who have since gone on to careers outside of the academy: Sarah Werner (Digital Media Strategist, Folger Shakespeare Library), Evan Rhodes (Executive Advisor, Corporate Executive Board), Meredith Hindley (historian and writer for the National Endowment for the Humanities), and Alyssa Harad (author and blogger); Miriam Posner (Digital Humanities Program Coordinator, UCLA) was invited remotely.
